Conservancy Nature Center Closed Until Nov. 1st

Conservancy of Southwest Florida Nature Center is temporarily closed August 1 – October 31, 2010 while undergoing major renovations. The Wildlife Clinic, Injured Animal Dropoff Area and business offices remain open as usual. The Nature Center will reopen November 1, 2010 at 10:30 AM.

Due to the generosity of our neighbors, the Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens, current Conservancy members will receive FREE ADMISSION to the Naples Zoo by presenting their valid Conservancy of Southwest Florida membership card to enjoy a full day of wildlife presentations and historic botanical gardens while the Conservancy Nature Center is closed for renovations, August 1 – October 31, 2010. Discovery Center

Nature Discovery CenterThe Discovery Center is place where visitors learn about the unique environment of Southwest Florida.

Explore our unique ecosystems and meet fascinating creatures such as the Florida Panther, American Alligator and Loggerhead Sea Turtle.

Listen to the sounds of the Western Everglades, get hands-on with marine life in our 500 gallon touch tank and check out some “alien invaders” from all over the world. Over 150 species of local wildlife can be seen while exploring the diverse exhibits and aquaria.

Discover how litter left behind can affect marine animals and how our Wildlife Rehabilitation Clinic rehabilitates these injured animals.

Learn about the critical issues affecting southwest Florida and how you can help the Environmental Policy team preserve southwest Florida’s wildlife for future generations.

Environmental Education naturalists and volunteer docents offer daily programs to learn more about Southwest Florida's environment.
