Responsible for overseeing animal husbandry/care, maintenance of LSS (life support systems), aquaria/ vivaria and exhibits in the Discovery Center; training/supervising interns and volunteers; and educating visitors, public, and students about the Southwest Florida environment, conservation and the mission of the Conservancy. Assists in coordination of Nature Store including merchandise and sales and assists with Information Desk duties, which represents the “public face” and “first impression” of the Conservancy, providing visitor information, admissions, and positive customer service to all who enter the doors. Responsible for the planning, implementation, coordination and supervision of all mechanical operations, maintenance, communications, energy management, and manpower development programs for assigned properties. Read more>>>
Our new custodian will be responsible for providing custodial services and general maintenance assistance for Conservancy facilities and premises. Maintain overall cleanliness of the Conservancy and assist in daily operations of facilities. Able to work a typical, daily schedule of 10am-7pm. Flexibility to cover other shifts, weekends, and varying hours for evening and weekend events, which may include some holidays. Read more>>>
