Sail Rookery Bay Aboard the Good Fortune II

No other cruise in the area can offer you the Good Fortune II eco-cruise experience! While we can’t guarantee the wildlife Mother Nature provides, we can guarantee this cruise is like no other. Our Good Fortune II custom pontoon boat has capacity up to 33 people and is newly equipped with cushioned seating.

Join a Coast Guard certified Captain and expert naturalist off the beaten path through one of the few remaining undisturbed mangrove estuaries in North America. Diverse wildlife, including hundreds of bird species and many threatened and endangered animals thrive in this unique environment. During season (generally December - April)  Good Fortune II cruises include an Early Morning Wildlife Adventure, a Leisurely Lunch Cruise, our Classic Sunset Adventure, plus specialty voyages and extraordinary private charters.


Daily Cruising Adventures during Season (December - April)

Monday Morning Wildlife Excursions
Voyage thru the estuary while discovering early morning wildlife activity.

Leisurely Lunch Cruises
Cruise thru the mangroves to the Isle of Capri for a one hour lunch. (Lunch not included in program price.)

Daily Classic Sunset Adventures
Cruises depart approximately two hours prior to sunset.
A spectacular view of hundreds of shorebirds coming to roost on the Rookery mangrove islands for the night. A “must do” for everyone!

Good Fortune II Eco-Cruise Charters (prices subject to change)

Exclusively yours… with capacity up to 33 people. Our exclusive excursions set off from our secluded dock - gliding through mangrove channels of the Rookery Bay Estuary. Voyagers will experience a view of wildlife bustling within a scenic backdrop while listening to a naturalist uncover details of the unique surroundings.

Perfect for weddings, small parties, club events, reunions, memorials and other special occasions.

Directions to the Good Fortune II from NAPLES:

From I-75 Exit 101 (951/Naples/Marco Island) head south on 951/Collier Blvd for approximately 10 miles. Turn right on Shell Island Rd (Just before Fiddler’s Creek). Continue 2.5 miles on Shell Island Road, following “Conservancy Boat Tour” signs to the Good Fortune II. (You will pass Florida Fish & Wildlife.) Shell Island Road is a wildlife area; please allow 10 minutes for the 2.5 mile road. The grassy parking area will be on your right. Follow the path to the boat dock. Please watch your step.

Directions to the Good Fortune II from MARCO ISLAND:

From Collier Blvd, head north towards Naples. Turn left onto Shell Island Road, just after Fiddler’s Creek entrance (on right). Continue 2.5 miles on Shell Island Road, following “Conservancy Boat Tour” signs to the Good Fortune II. (You will pass Florida Fish & Wildlife.) Shell Island Road is a wildlife area; please allow 10 minutes for the 2.5 mile road. The grassy parking area will be on your right. Follow the path to the boat dock. Please watch your step.

What to bring:

  1. You are welcome to bring food and drinks.*
    (Limit one personal size cooler per 2 voyagers.)
    *Water will be available for purchase on board.
  2. Camera
  3. Binoculars (a limited supply is available for use)
  4. Sunscreen/hat (the boat is canopied so you will not be in direct sun)
  5. Mosquito repellant
  6. Light jacket for sunset cruise - Temperature is cooler over the water

Special notes:

  1. The Good Fortune II boat and all captains are Coast Guard certified.
  2. All trips are weather-permitting. We will provide notice to you as soon as a trip is cancelled, generally within two hours of departure time.
  3. As a courtesy to other guests, we ask that you kindly cancel or reschedule your cruise at least 48 hours before departure time.
  4. Facilities are available onboard the boat for your convenience.
