2013 YEAR-END APPEAL

With the holidays approaching, my family and I like to take time to appreciate and celebrate the unique environment in Southwest Florida. I’m sure you do, too. As the Conservancy of Southwest Florida celebrates its 50th anniversary, we can reflect on many of Southwest Florida’s treasures that we helped protect.

These include Rookery Bay, Western Everglades, Pelican Bay/Clam Pass, and thousands of acres of wetlands and crucial habitat that are now protected forever.

In that spirit, I hope you will also take time to appreciate and celebrate all we have accomplished together over the past year because we couldn’t have done it without you!

Today, as we look towards 2014, we have even greater challenges to meet. We face increasing policy, science, education and wildlife care responsibilities that must be fulfilled through our Annual Fund.

I am asking you and every Conservancy supporter and member to take the next step and help us raise $130,000 by December 31 to keep our critical programs going strong in 2014.

Thanks to the support of our generous leadership donors, we have a special matching fund for our 50th anniversary. All donations to the Annual Fund will be matched dollar for dollar!

Wishing you a happy holiday season,
Robert J. Moher, President and CEO
