Senior Environmental policy Specialist

Marisa Carrozzo is Senior Environmental Policy Specialist at the Conservancy of Southwest Florida and is responsible for developing and implementing the Conservancy’s policy initiatives for water resources and Western Everglades issues at the local, state, and federal levels.

Marisa has over seven years of experience in natural resource policy, including Everglades Restoration, environmentally-sensitive lands preservation, water quality regulations and restoration plans. Prior to her work with the Conservancy, she spent several years at an international customs brokerage firm and provided contract work in that capacity to companies such as Energizer. Marisa also served as a Conservation Associate in the Conservancy’s policy department after graduating with honors from Miami University (Ohio).

Marisa is an elected member of the Board and Co-Chair of the 63 organization Everglades Coalition and serves on the CREW Land & Water Trust Board of Trustees. Marisa is also the project manager for the Conservancy’s Estuaries Report Card, a comprehensive review and assessment of Southwest Florida’s estuarine watershed health. She is a graduate of the Leadership Collier Foundation’s GAIN Class of 2018, volunteers on the LCF Education and Advocacy Committee, and is a member of Young Professionals of Naples.
