Camp Hours: Camp Begins promptly at 9:00 AM each day and goes until 4:00 PM (Please arrive by 8:45 AM so we can prepare for the day.) Drop off/ Pick up Location: Park in our visitor parking lot and walk through our welcome gazebo and up to the Lutgert Commons Deck, in front of the Ferguson Learning Labs. A counselor will be there to greet you at the sign in table.Before & After Care: Available for every camper (included in cost of camp)! Campers should be dropped off at their Camp Meeting Location (listed above) between 8:00– 9:00 AM and picked up between 4:00 – 5:00 PM.
What to Bring: Backpack containing lunch & snacks, water bottle, sweatshirt or jacket (in the event of cool weather), bug spray and sunscreen. Please wear closed-toed shoes
Parents or guardian Sign In /Out: Parents or guardians are required to sign in their children in and out each day. Any exceptions must submitted by the parents or guardian in writing. Supervision: Each camp will have a maximum of 20 campers with 2 full time Conservancy staff naturalists and 2 interns. Our interns are recent college grads or college seniors who have been interviewed and selected by our staff.Background Checks: All lead counselors are given background checks in compliance to Florida StatutesAllergies & Medical Concerns: We ask that you document all allergies and medical concerns on our enrollment form and follow instructions under Special Medical/Behavior Accommodations or Concerns.First Aid Certifications: All lead counselors are required to be certified in first aid and CPR. Our naturalists also hold lifeguard certification. We carry first aid kits on all field trips and have an AED on campus and at our nature center.
Emergencies: Counselors carry cellular phones at all times and can always be reached for emergency purposes. Please call Cheryl Latif at (239) 262-0304x266 if your child will not be attending camp for the day or in case of an emergency.Zero Tolerance: To keep all our campers safe and maintain a positive environment we will not tolerate hitting or other violent behavior. Parents or guardians will be informed of inappropriate behavior and contacted to discuss corrective solutions. Camp counselors reserve the right to dismiss a child from camp for violent or abusive behavior.
