NANCY SPAHL

December 2018

I moved to Naples from Upton and Wellfleet, Massachusetts. My husband Don and I visited family in Naples in 2009 and after 10 minutes, we knew we wanted to live here in Paradise! We built in 2010 and couldn’t wait to retire and make the move permanent - which we did in December 2012.

I worked for more than 15 years in the dental field for the largest pediatric dental practice in Worcester, MA and I now live with my husband and our cat Jeremy in the Marbella Lakes Community of Naples.

I am a certified SCUBA diver and a lover of nature and wildlife - both above and below the water. I am a member of Quail Village Golf Club and I hold a current Florida Real Estate license

LEARN MORE ABOUT VOLUNTEERING WITH THE CONSERVANCY

I became a Conservancy volunteer in June, 2014. So far, I’ve logged over 1,260 hours of donated time.

I currently volunteer inside the von Arx Wildlife Hospital, I serve as a Critter Courier, I have assisted with special events such as our annual Wildlife Hospital Baby Shower, and I’ve also worked an information table at Work Wildlife Conservation Day.

I became a volunteer at the Conservancy in the Wildlife Hospital because of the hands-on opportunity to assist staff in the treatment and care of rehabbing wildlife with the goal of returning them to their natural habitats. It is a special pleasure to work alongside dedicated staff sharing a common passion. They have taught me so much and it is a true privilege to call them my friends.

I love when I am able to release wildlife that has been treated at the Hospital. It makes all the work worthwhile.

I learn something new every time I volunteer. I truly love my job!

Thank you, Nancy, for your role in protecting Southwest Florida’s unique natural environment and quality of life…now and forever.
