March 2018

Steve was born and raised in “The Bronx, New York.” He's been married to my wife (Gail) for 49 years. They lived most of our married lives in Rockland County, New York, before moving to Naples 15 years ago.

LEARN MORE ABOUT VOLUNTEERING WITH THE CONSERVANCY

Steve had a 35 year career as a science and technology teacher in New York City Public Schools. For fun, he's been a long time sailor. He says he had a friend who was a former boat captain at the Conservancy and thought he'd be well-suited for that position, given his teaching and boating background.

As of March 2018, he's been with the Conservancy as a boat captain and trainer for almost 10 years. He says he enjoys taking visitors out on tours, along with the friendship of his fellow volunteers.

Thank you, Steve, for your role in protecting Southwest Florida’s unique natural environment and quality of life…now and forever.
