CONSERVANCY POST-HURRICANE UPDATE

Dear Conservancy Family,

Thank you to our wonderful community, volunteers and staff who have contributed countless hours, energy and talents to helping us to get back up and running following Hurricane Irma.

The Nature Center will reopen to guests on Wednesday, October 4. We will resume normal business hours, Monday – Saturday 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

The von Arx Wildlife Hospital at the Conservancy is admitting patients 7 days a week between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.

This has been, and continues to be, a difficult time for so many in our community. We will continue to send updates about our progress and our needs through our Facebook page and through email.

We are also grateful to those of you who helped us so generously with calls to help.

How You Can Help:

  • Donate: Continuing our work to protect Southwest Florida’s water, land, wildlife and future must continue. Right now, caring for wildlife injured in the storm and cleanup from Hurricane Irma exceed our planned budget estimates. Please support our recovery efforts.
  • Amazon Wishlist: Send a much-needed item to the recovering animals in the von Arx Wildlife Hospital through Amazon.

Again, I am so grateful to all of you for supporting the Conservancy through this difficult time. I sincerely wish you and your loved ones the best through the recovery process.

With thanks,

Rob Moher

P.S. – See how hard our teams have been working. Despite the exhausting heat and long hours, we are working alongside one another to continue to make a positive impact on behalf of Southwest Florida’s water, land, wildlife and future. Click here to see our teams in action!
