Why Solar?

Investing in the Future

Sponsored By:

Presentation  |  January 24

Why should businesses and/or individuals in Florida consider converting to solar power? This is the question that Jim Henderson will address during his presentation. He will discuss the balance between population growth and the environment; climate change warnings; technology changes in creating solar power; and what persuaded him to take his business facility solar in the first place. Jim will share his personal journey of undertaking the largest solar project to date in Collier County.

Jim Henderson, President and Owner of William C. Huff Companies -- a nationwide logistics provider with offices in New Hampshire and Naples, Florida, is a sought after speaker who is known as an expert in the field of Downsizing and logistics for high and ultra high net-worth clientele around the world. He has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal and been featured in many articles with the most recent one about deciding to take his company solar.

Active in many social, professional and non-profit organizations, Jim’s involvement includes: DEMA, the Domestic Estate Management Association where he serves as the founding president of the Naples Chapter; Board member of the Friends of Foster Children Forever; speaker and active member of the Above Board Chamber; and many others. He and his staff also support and sponsor a dozen other non-profits such as the Gulfshore Playhouse, the Founders Fund, Miracles in Action, and St. Matthew’s House to name a few.

He supported the Turtles on the Town project of the United Arts Council and the Community Foundation by being the logistics sponsor and transporting 50 turtles around town before, during and after the recent fundraising effort.
