Programs for kids in grades 2 - 5
The Conservancy of Southwest Florida has announced that registration is now open for its 2016 Winter Camp, which will place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. December 28-29. Ideal for second-through fifth-grade students, the award-winning camp programs at the Conservancy of Southwest Florida combine outdoor adventures, live animal encounters and engaging nature-based activities for the budding environmentalist.
Campers will be taken on a wild escapade, venturing into the unique habitats of Southwest Florida. The two-day camp will feature field trips to explore rich ecosystems, including cypress swamps and mangrove estuaries. Campers will search for alligators, turtles, wading birds and other wondrous wildlife and will learn how these animals adapt to the changing seasons. Children are asked to wear closed-toed shoes and bring a backpack containing lunch and snacks, water bottle, sweatshirt or jacket, bug spray and sunscreen.
Members: $60 / Day
Non-Members: $80 / Day
