Join us on a wild adventure! Discover amazing animals and explore nature through multi-sensory, interactive activities, stories, games, and more. We’ll even meet a live animal up close.
Join the adventures of Alligator, Tortoise, Raccoon and Owl as they explore new habitats, meet new animal friends, and learn how to work together to protect our environment.
Discover the rhythms and cycles of our coastal seas. From seasonal weather to daily tides, students will use data to determine how ocean creatures change their ways to go with the ebb and flow of our oceans.
Use inquiry skills to investigate amazing animal adaptations. Discover how adaptations help animals survive in extreme environments. Students then create their own creature adapted to its unique habitat.
Become a Critter Scene Investigator! Discover the identity of animal suspects by examining clues they leave behind in the wild. Students will explore how scientists use clues to better understand how to protect wildlife in Southwest Florida.
Hear tales from the Conservancy’s von Arx Wildlife Hospital and explore the many causes of injury to wild animals. Students will become Junior Veterinarians to diagnose and treat an animal patient in a hands-on activity and discover how they can help to prevent injury to wildlife.
Discover the importance of plankton as we examine the different classifications and their roles in the marine ecosystem. We will bring the lab into the classroom to study algae that cause harmful blooms and investigate why these water quality issues could be prevalent in Southwest Florida. Use microscopes with water sample to determine human impact problems and potential solutions.
Explore unique adaptations of birds of prey and discover the importance of each species in the ecosystem. Discuss human-introduced threats and how students can help to make a difference to protect birds and their habitats.
