These week-long professional development sessions immerse teachers in the research-based practice of writing and facilitating engaging inquiry-based STEM activities focused on the Southwest Florida environment. Participating teachers have the opportunity to create hands-on activities that can be incorporated into their classrooms.
Programs will be inquiry-based, teaching critical thinking skills, and will consist of collaborative and small group work, which has proven most affective in teaching STEM.
The Conservancy established a multi-prong approach to teaching STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Math). Our STEM Institute includes all of Learning Adventures field trips and outreach programs, including our new STEM Smart program for high school students.
